Al Riedler. financial advisor
A certified public accountant, Mr. Riedler has more than
25 years of management experience in the areas of public
accounting, finance and operations within technical
companies. Currently, he is the chief financial
officer at St. Bernard Software where he is responsible
for the finance and administrative operations.
Previously, Mr. Riedler was the chief financial officer
of Bluebird Systems, a software development company.
He is the former Industrial Group Controller for Ramada
Inns and Vice President of Finance of STARNET
Corporation (a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company). He
holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
from the University of Nebraska.
Kay Sakata. business & sales advisor
Kay Sakata's technology career spans over 35 years. He co-founded WindFire Technology where he held a
position as a V.P. of Sale and Alliances. Previously, he held various top management positions
with Bluebird Systems including executive vice president
and VP of international and channel sales. Previously, he was a branch manager of the San Diego
office of Source EDP. He concurrently served as an
advisor to the Bank of Taiwan, the Joint Commission on
Rural Reconstruction, and the Executive Yuan of the
Republic of China where he helped develop the IT
resources for the government in Taiwan. Kay was
the MIS director at Shareholders Management Company, an
investment management company, and began his career as a
systems engineer for IBM. He holds a B.A. degree
in Mathematics from UCLA.
Kay Lee. business & sales advisor
Kay Lee came to Alero with 27 years of experience in
Information Technology industry. He started his
career as a Fortran & PL/I Programmer in Mini Computer
System, and has worked in many industry sectors and
system configurations in multinational environment, from
Mainframe to PC Desktop, Local Area Network to Wide Area
Network, Batch Legacy System to eCommerce System, and
System Software to Application Program. He also
engaged in Management as a Senior Consultant, Project
Manager, and Program Manager. He has been involved
in distribution services to set up worldwide partners
for technology providers to move into target markets and
close accounts. He holds Master of Science Degree
in Information and Computer Sciences from the University
of Hawaii at Manoa.
Bob Rowlett. legal advisor
Robert D. Rowlett is an attorney generally focusing his
practice to counseling on general business matters with
a particular focus in intellectual property law,
including patents, trademarks, trade secrets and related
matters. Prior to re entering into private
practice in 2003, he was as General Counsel for Wink
Communications, Inc., a publicly traded technology
venture in the software and interactive television
business. Prior to Wink, he gained “large” law
firm experience with the respected law firms of Howard
Rice, Nemorovski, et al. and Christie, Parker & Hale
where he also specialized in intellectual property
matters. Mr. Rowlett received his J.D. from the
University of San Diego, School of Law in 1994, is a
registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office and a registered Professional Engineer
with California, and holds a college level Instructor’s
Credential in engineering and a masters degree in
engineering from the University of California.
Rebecca Lawson. marketing advisor
Rebecca Lawson’s marketing career spans over 20 years. She brings extensive experience in corporate and
marketing communications, product marketing, vertical
market development, product launch and strategic
positioning for enterprise and internet technology
companies. She currently works for Peregrine
Systems as Director of Product Marketing. She also
founded and owns her own marketing consulting firm, Stratis Technology Marketing. Prior to Peregrine,
she worked for Keylime Software as V.P. of Marketing. Mrs. Lawson’s experience also includes multiple
marketing and sales positions with companies like: TriTeal Corporation, Pages Software, Bluebird Systems,
and EDS. She holds a Bachelor of Science in natural
sciences with teaching credentials from the Michigan
State University.
