The Alero integration services implement the enterprise content integration (ECI), enterprise information integration (EII) and virtualization capabilities of the product. Following is a brief description of the integration services provided with the product.

• Content integration services facilitate the integration of content management systems, including FileNet, Hummingbird DOCS Open and DM, SharePoint, Xythos, and Tower Software.
• Information integration services facilitate the integration of other types of systems, including databases, file systems, business application, etc.
• Virtualization services facilitate the orchestration of multiple repositories as one virtual repository, hiding the complexities of working with complex systems (different vendors, platforms, locations, architectures, data types, etc.).

Note: Other content management systems, applications, and business solutions can easily be integrated by Alero or its partners using the Alero Server SDK. Alero's approach to integration is to build adapters as the business demands it.

Although Alero’s integration services can be acquired and used independently to meet specific integration requirements, when used together with the other Alero services, you gain the synergistic benefits of leveraging your entire enterprise information resources and data—objects, documents, records and transactions—into your enterprise processes, creating an integrated business environment in which employees, customers, suppliers and vendors can most effectively and securely exchange information.
