WindFire Announces Support for EMC Centera Content Addressed Storage Solution
Integration interface provides powerful link for high-volume information management

Technology today announced it has entered into an agreement
with EMC Corporation to integrate the company's Xtorm®
enterprise information management (EIM) suite with the EMC
Centera content addressed storage (CAS) solution. EMC
Centera represents an entirely new software-driven storage
architecture specifically designed to address the unique
information storage requirements of any structured or
unstructured data.
WindFire has completed, and is now shipping
its integration adapter for the EMC Centera CAS solution,
which provides a direct and bi-directional communication
layer with Xtorm. "Our adapter now enables Xtorm customers
to take full advantage of EMC's CAS technology and provides
a high performance/high capacity storage alternative to
optical storage devices for archiving their large content
resources," said Maurice Correa, president of WindFire.
WindFire's Xtorm EIM suite comprises
enterprise content management, business process management
and virtual repository management applications. Developed on
a J2EE, XML and Unicode foundation, the integrated suite is
designed to be embedded into existing business applications.
WindFire's EIM solution is designed
specifically for production-level transaction processing
environments that inherently rely on expansive storage
resources. The company's virtual repository applications, in
combination with adapters such as the EMC Centera adapter,
play a central role by enabling rapid data access,
management and storage for both structured and unstructured
data.
